Well? Which Is It, Bitch?

mukasey.jpgWhile I'd much rather be writing about how a recent discover that a mutation in the mu-opioid receptor gene may be the reason why the little brat next door won't stop screaming for his mother (and while the odds are pretty good that he'll grow up to be a substance abuser), I once more have to do the mainstream press' job for them and tell you about something they've failed to sufficiently cover.

During a speech/insane tirade last week, Attorney General Michael "Rimlapper" Mukasey claimed that, just before 9/11, a requirement to obtain a FISA warrant made it impossible for the Bush administration to listen in on a call from a "safe house in Afghanistan" being made by an Al Qaeda operative.

Does anybody else see a problem with that statement?

I mean a problem other than the fact that FISA warrants are not required for listening in on foreign phone calls?

The only two options here are A) the Bush administration had credible intelligence about the 9/11 in advance of the attacks and failed to take action, or B) Mukasey is a lying little bitch.
