I've written (a letter to daaaaaddy) a piece about humor in music (I'm against it) for Rock Town Hall. You can read it here. Oh, and I have a truly digusting stomach virus that seems to be all-the-rage among the young people.

I never got Sarah McLachlan. I always used to cut her some slack because she was Kyle MacLachlan's wife, but then I found out that I'd made that factoid up, and got over her right quick.

I always thought it curious that, particularly during the late 80s and early 90s, DM and They Might Be Giants were lumped together categorically in the minds of most of my "peers". Truth is, TMBG were smart WAY past cool's threshold, while DM teetered the line quite successfully. Or maybe I'm just an idiot for believing that.

Well to start off im sorry about your stomache virus. Ok so now on to my post. Today i was listening to TAM 1100 here in my native land of Cleveland and the host of this right wing bias station Mike Trivassano was severely convinced we where being attacked by terrorists or to put in his words "something is definately going on , all you have to do is look to the sky and see for yourself" {reffering of course to the numerous jets buzzing about in the clear skies we here in Cleveland rareley see}. Me....being the optimist that I am decided to listen to his argument and see where this goes. This torment lasted for about an hour and a half before my ears could not take it anymore. But within that hour in a half he told his crew to cancell all of the commercials and promos so he could take calls from people who shared his fear. After about a few calls that posed some evidence of an attack a caller stated he lived near Hopkins airport and "no planes took off or landed since 12:00 noon" I was about a mile or two from this exact airport and as he hung up i searched the skies in panic only to see A GODDAMN PLANE TAKING OFF FROM HOPKINS AIRPORT! But atleast no terrorists attacked this great nothingness called Cleveland.

Shouldn't comedy in music just be ironic?
Like a certain song about toxicity and sexiness. Now that's funny.
And you don't even mention anything about the state of hip-hop/rap. It's a gold mine of humor, that's right a mine full of gold.
